The next generation is coming. 2020 is setting up to be a monumental year across the entire auto industry, and the Chevy Silverado HD is promising to be the most powerful and all-inclusive truck money can buy at the outset of the new decade.

Virtually every facet of the Chevy Silverado HD has been reworked to provide owners with more power and an increased focus on towing capability. In fact, towing is such a focus with the 2020 Silverado HD that its maximum capacity has increased by a colossal 52 percent.

A class-leading 15 camera views will give Silverado HD owners the most comprehensive look at their surroundings yet, enabling them to make the most informed decisions at a moment's notice. New for 2020 is a transparent view, which as the name suggests, allows owners to look through the trailer they are hauling, which works wonders when backing up in tight spaces.

This new emphasis on towing is also made possible by a more powerful array of engine options than ever before. The new standard engine is a 6.6-liter V8 with a power output of 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. There is an available 6.6-liter Turbo Diesel V8 that produces an enhanced 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. The engine upgrade comes mated to a brand new Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, which plays a critical role in the Silverado HD's new towing capacity.

You won't have to wait long as the Chevy Silverado HD is set to arrive at Cooper Chevrolet this summer.
